Cheyyandane Gears Up for Kannada Rajyotsava Sports Meet

Cheyyandane, Oct 18: A grand sports meet is being organized in Cheyyandane to mark Kannada Rajyotsava. The event will take place on the grounds of the Cheyyandane Government Primary School on November 2, and again from November 6 to 8.

An organizing committee has been formed for the event, with Chenanda Sampath appointed as President. Other key appointments include Cheyyanda Nanda Nachappa as Vice-President, Kuttana Sunil as General Secretary, Biddanda Cheeyanna (Namu) as Treasurer, and Beliyandra Hariprasad as Convener. Additionally, office-bearers for various sub-committees have been selected to ensure the sports meet is conducted in an organized manner.

The committee aims to make the event a success by bringing together the residents of Nariyandada, Kokeri, and Chelavara villages. Plans are in place to organize the event on a grander scale this year, distinguishing it from previous editions.

Through this sports meet, the organizers hope to encourage rural sporting talent, foster an interest in sports among the youth, and strengthen unity and harmony among the villagers.
