It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved daughter, Billie Vera Reilly. As many of you know, my husband Dan and I are widely recognized for our roles on The Block, but today, we come to you not as reality TV stars, but as grieving parents.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, we confirmed that our precious Billie left this world at just 10 days old. The pain and grief that we are feeling is insurmountable, and words cannot express the depth of our loss. Our daughter was a beautiful and perfect little soul, and we are devastated that she could not stay with us for longer.
Along with a photo of us at the hospital by Billie's side, we shared that she was everything we had ever wanted. In her short time on this earth, she taught us a love and pain that we never knew existed. She showed us what truly matters in life, and for that, we will be forever grateful.
Billie was so wanted and loved, and we are honored to have been her parents. Even though she is no longer physically with us, she will always be our daughter. We may never understand why she was taken from us so soon, but we know that her legacy will have a greater impact than any of us could imagine.
For those who wish to pay tribute to our sweet Billie, we have included a link to make a donation to The Royal Women's Hospital. This was where she was born, and the nurses, doctors, and staff in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit were like angels to us. We will always be grateful for the love and care they gave our precious girl, and for the support they provided to us during this difficult time.
We also want to make a special mention of "Billie's Besties" at The Royal Women's Hospital. These incredible people went above and beyond to care for our daughter and us, and we will never forget their kindness and compassion.
In light of this tragedy, we ask that you hold your loved ones a little closer and cherish every moment you have with them. Life is precious, and we never know when it will be taken away from us. Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers during this devastating time.
On a separate note, for those who may not know, my husband Dan and I appeared on The Block in 2012 and walked away with a life-changing $448,000. We also returned for The Block All Stars series in 2013, where we made a profit of $220,000. Dan later became the Foreman on The Block, and we are grateful for the opportunities and experiences we had on the show.
Lastly, we would like to share that the Red Nose Grief and Loss Support Line is available 24/7 for anyone who has been affected by the loss of a pregnancy, stillbirth, or death of a baby or child. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need support during this difficult time. The number is 1300 308 307.
Thank you again for your love and understanding. Our hearts are broken, but we will always carry Billie's memory with us. She was and will always be our precious daughter.
