Candace Owens criticizes inclusivity and mocks a wheelchair model in Kim Kardashian's SKIMS ad, calling it
Not everyone will allow for the subject to go unaddressed. Haleigh Rosa, a wheelchair model, has recently called out Candace Owens for her criticism of the disabled community's inclusivity and an earlier campaign she was part of with Kim Kardashian's SKIMS brand for adaptive clothing line. According to Newsweek, the political commentator made unfeeling remarks about the model at the conclusion of a recent episode of her daily podcast, Daily Wire. “I don't truly understand how far we are going to take this inclusivity thing,” Owens declared. “We are being ridiculous, America.”

“I truly don't get it, and if I am wrong, teach me,” she continued. “I don't know why this needs to be carried out. I'm just getting weary of this all-inclusivity thing. It appears absurd.”

Owens went on to doubt the notion behind using Rosa in the ad. “Whose idea was this? Was it your concept? OK, you're fired,” Owens said.

Rosa was featured in the SKIMS campaign that was released last May, being in her wheelchair wearing the adaptive shapewear that was made with ultra-lightweight micro-bonded technology, especially designed for those with limited mobility. The model recently took to her TikTok to call out Owens on her comments.

“We both studied journalism, but since only one of us appears to have completed our degree. I'm happy to educate you,” Rosa stated. “This isn't the first or the last campaign you will see with a wheelchair. We're not only in adaptive campaigns, we're everywhere.”

“I think it's shocking what she said. It's repugnant and it's setting a really dreadful example for people that actually do follow her,” she told the British newspaper The Mirror. “I don't think any body is undeserving of being seen and the fact that she chose my body to talk about how basically inconsequential people in wheelchairs are, and the fact that we shouldn't even be shown was disturbing.”

“I mean, I would have no idea of knowing what goes on in that woman's brain. I think that she's a loose cannon that is consistently in search of the next controversy,” she said.
