Judge Mathis will be the star of Mathis Court with Judge Mathis, Judge Milian, formerly of The People’s Court, will be featured in Justice for the People with Judge Milian, and The Real Housewives of New York City's Eboni K. Williams will be the star of Equal Justice with Judge Eboni K. Williams.
Byron Allen, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Allen Media Group, expressed his pride in the three new shows in a written statement. Earlier this year, Warner Bros. announced the canceling of Judge Mathis and The People’s Court after 24 and 35 seasons respectively. Judge Mathis confirmed that his show was coming back under a Black-owned company. Variety reported that Judge Mathis was moving his new show to Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group in February. He commented that “Byron and I are both from Detroit and it’s exciting to see him build the Motown of court programming by bringing together all of my fellow judges from his 8 court shows – who are the best of the best.”
