Britney Spears has spoken out about the traumatic experience of being hit by a security guard. The incident took place when Britney and her husband Sam Asghari were out in Las Vegas on Wednesday evening.

The star shared that she recognized Victor in her hotel lobby as she was heading to dinner. She decided to approach him and congratulate him on his success. "It was really loud so I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention," said Britney.
Victor had earlier addressed the incident at a press conference, claiming he did not know it was Britney and had only felt someone grab him from behind. Britney refuted this, saying "I was aware of the player's statement where he mentions 'I grabbed him from behind' but I simply tapped him on the shoulder."
Britney said that the security guard backhanded her in the face without looking back, nearly knocking her down and causing her glasses to fly off her face. She also pointed out that earlier in the evening, when she was swarmed by fans, her security didn't hit anyone.
