Murray, known for his iconic role as Mickey Pearce in the legendary British sitcom Only Fools and Horses, had been battling lung cancer since 2021. Despite his success in the entertainment industry, Murray made the decision to retire from acting towards the end of his life and become a taxi driver in Kent. This was reportedly in order to comply with the minimum income rules for non-European spouses, as he wanted to bring his wife Anong and daughter Josie to the UK.
