Brexit party leader attends court as person who threw milkshake pleads guilty.
A woman by the name of Victoria Thomas Bowen has recently admitted to throwing a milkshake at Nigel Farage. The incident occurred outside a pub in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, during the general election campaign on June 4. She appeared in Westminster Magistrates' Court and pleaded guilty to charges of assault by beating and criminal damage.

The Reform UK leader was leaving the Moon and Starfish Wetherspoon pub when he was unexpectedly drenched in a McDonald's milkshake. This came after he had held a rally in the area as part of his campaign to become the town's MP. It was reported that Thomas Bowen, who is 25 years old, also caused damage worth £17.50 to a jacket belonging to Mr Farage's security officer, James Woolfenden.

Initially, Thomas Bowen had denied the charges and was set to face trial this morning. However, just before the proceedings began, she had a change of heart and pleaded guilty instead. In a twist of fate, Farage himself was also present in court this morning and was seen entering the building at the same time as Thomas Bowen.

Deputy senior district judge Tan Ikram adjourned the sentencing to December 16, saying to the defendant, "You have admitted to two serious charges in my opinion. This was a targeted and unprovoked attack on an elected member of parliament. I take a grave view of these offenses and will be seeking a pre-sentence report to consider all options for your sentence."
