Boxer Claressa Shields is set to face off against Lauren Price in a two-fight series.

Exciting news for boxing fans as two undefeated fighters are set to face off in a two-fight series. Promoter Ben Shalom has confirmed that the series will feature the highly skilled boxers Claressa Shields and Lauren Price. In a recent interview with BBC News, Shalom revealed that Price, with a record of 10-0, will soon have the opportunity to fight Shields, the current champion.

The series is set to take place in both the United States and Price's hometown of Cardiff, Wales. Shalom spoke to BBC Radio Wales Breakfast and shared his plans for the two women. He expressed his excitement for the potential of hosting a fight at Cardiff City Stadium or Cardiff Castle in June of next year, as Price's previous fights have been selling out too quickly.

Although there has been no mention of title fights, both fighters will have the chance to put their undefeated records on the line. DAZN reported that Shields was in attendance at Price's most recent fight, where Price won by unanimous decision. The two fighters even had a conversation, confirming that the matches are in the works.

Shields praised Price for her skills as an Olympic champion and acknowledged that they will both have one more fight before facing each other in the ring. Shields currently holds a record of 18-0 with three knockouts, following her victory over Franchón Crews-Dezurn in February 2026. Price, on the other hand, is eager for the opportunity to fight Shields and believes it will be an incredible match.

In fact, Price wasted no time in proposing a "home and home" series, with one fight in America and the other in Wales. Shields agreed, shaking on the deal and leaving fans hopeful for an epic showdown between these two talented boxers.
