On Saturday, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the body recovered from the Chicago River near the 1300 block of North Elston Avenue as that of 26-year-old Noah Enos.

Noah's girlfriend, Nicole Wijs, said that he went to a King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard concert with a co-worker at the Salt Shed music venue near the river last Monday night. During the show, Noah sent her messages on Snapchat until around 9pm and then his phone went dead around 10pm.

Nicole said that she began feeling a sinking feeling about the situation when she started calling hospitals around 10am on Tuesday to see if Noah had checked in. She drove by the Salt Shed at 4am that Monday and had a gut feeling something might be up.

Noah had recently started working at the Frontier restaurant in Wicker Park. Nicole described him as an “incredibly intelligent, charismatic, caring, wonderful person, wonderful boyfriend, wonderful dad to our two dogs” and that he was not the type of person who would just up and leave without a reason.
