Blavity Media Group and The Gathering Spot have joined forces in an exclusive partnership to honor and amplify Black excellence. As reported by AfroTech on March 10, BMG has been appointed as the sole sales and activation partner for TGS's sponsorship portfolio. The collaboration aims to establish a new platform that connects brands with influential Black professionals, both through digital media and private gathering spaces.

In a statement, Blavity Inc. CEO and co-founder, Morgan DeBaun, expressed the company's excitement about this partnership. "The Gathering Spot has created physical spaces with the same mindset that we have brought to digital media: the belief that Black professionals should not be seen as just a demographic, but as a community," DeBaun said.

"Together, we are creating something that truly reflects the way our audience lives, both online and offline, in content and in community. For brands looking to make a genuine impact, this is the way to do it." DeBaun also shared the news on LinkedIn, stating, "Our community exists both online and offline, and now our partners and brands have the opportunity to show up in both places in an authentic way." This exclusive partnership will provide a select number of sponsorship opportunities, granting brands access to TGS's private membership network of leaders, executives, and founders who are shaping the worlds of business, politics, and culture. With over 11,000 members across four locations in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles, TGS offers an impressive reach.

In addition, sponsors will enjoy perks such as exclusive placements within TGS clubs, curated member experiences, and custom on-site activations, all promoted through BMG's digital platforms, including AfroTech, Blavity, and Travel Noire, which reach an audience of over 32 million monthly users. Ryan Wilson, CEO and co-founder of The Gathering Spot, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, "From the very beginning, our mission at The Gathering Spot has been to provide a space where Black people are celebrated, not just tolerated." He continued, "Our members are making strides in building generational wealth, launching companies, and shaping entire industries. Blavity shares these values through their media presence.

This partnership allows brands to gain access to the rooms where these important conversations and decisions are taking place." In related news, The Gathering Spot recently transformed its Washington, D.C. location into a "safe house" amid the heightened tensions surrounding Trump's police presence in the city. This exemplifies the organization's commitment to creating a safe and supportive space for its members, both in person and online.

With this new partnership, BMG and TGS are determined to elevate Black excellence and provide brands with the opportunity to authentically connect with the influential Black community.
