Merry Green, president of MGPG Events and creator of the Black Women’s Expo, shared that the event is a smaller one, but it's something they've been asked to do, and it will revolve around food and hospitality. Additionally, the panelists will include Chrishon Lampley, Jackie Jackson, Bridgette Flagg, Yasmin Curtis, Lauran Smith, and Vanetta Roy.



The $2,500 award will be accompanied by coaching sessions for the winner. Green has also established a nonprofit to help small businesses, and is looking forward to seeing the applications. The deadline to apply is April 12 at 11:59 p.m., and the winner must attend the Bagels and Brunch event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency.
