Black woman drew gun on Uber Eats driver who entered her home without permission.
Shar'Daya Hardin, from Columbus, OH, recently experienced every homeowner's worst nightmare. After ordering food from Uber Eats and waiting almost two hours, she dozed off. She was jolted awake when she heard loud banging on her door.

"All my deliveries are 'no contact' so I'm used to them leaving it at the door," Hardin said. "I heard bumping against my door and him on the handle...But I realized he was pushing his body against the door."

In order to protect herself, Hardin opened the door while brandishing her gun. She found the Uber Eats driver, who began begging her to forgive him. "He instantly started saying 'I'm sorry please don't tell on me...sorry sorry sorry,'" Hardin recalled.

What Hardin found even more concerning was that the driver had no food in hand. When she tried to report him, she found that Uber Eats had blocked her account. "I reached out to Uber and the police and Uber Eats instantly locked my account so I couldn't get his information," Hardin said. "I asked them for it to make the police report, but she ended the call saying due to the driver stating it was violence she could no longer talk to me."

Other women in the Twitter thread also shared their own horrific experiences with Uber Eats. One user said that the delivery person saw her dog and tall son and changed his mind about the delivery. Hardin, a mother of three, knew exactly what she had to do when she faced the same situation. "I'm a mother with children so my children and my own safety comes first," she said.
