KP Tripathi, the BJP candidate from Rewa, was out campaigning for the upcoming assembly elections on Monday. He visited several villages, including Parohan Tola, Koparihan Tola, Bela, and Gautaman Tola, to communicate with the general public and seek their support. He urged them to join the BJP and offered his assurance that the party, with their cooperation, will be able to form a government in the poll-bound state.

Tripathi also mentioned the various developmental works done by the BJP in the state, and highlighted the importance of the upcoming elections. Several people opted for BJP membership during his visit. Some of the names included Ramlal Sharma, Premlaal Prajapati, Pushpendra Gupta, Vimal Singh, Rahul Sen, Ajay Singh, Ajay Dwivedi, Lavkush Tiwari, and Vipin Sen.

The star campaigners of the Congress party are set to arrive at Morena. Sanjay Masani, the party’s vice president, will visit the district on Tuesday. He plans to visit the rural areas with an aim to attract more voters. Former Chief Minister, Divgijaya Singh, is expected to arrive on November 8. He will be addressing public meetings and holding a meeting with the party workers. Nakul Nath, the Chhindwara MP, is expected to arrive on November 10.

The Collector and District Electoral Officer, Neeraj Kumar Singh, informed that the voting process for government officials from other districts, who are currently working in Narmadapuram, has begun from Monday. These officials will be able to cast their votes at the booths set up in training centres in various constituencies till November 9. They need to show their voter’s ID card and will also be allowed to cast their votes by postal ballots at the assembly constituencies set up in the districts where they are posted.

Apart from the voter’s ID card, citizens can also show several other documents for proof of identity, such as Aadhar card, NREGA job card, bank/post office passbook with photographs, Swasth Bima Smart Card, driving license, PAN card, Smart Card issued by RGI, Indian passport, pension documents, identity cards issued by the Centre, state government, public enterprises, and public limited companies, as well as government identity cards issued by MPs, MLAs, Unique Disability ID cards issued by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, government of India.

Unfortunately, Tripathi landed in the soup on the same day when he was campaigning for the BJP, for he was accused of offering gifts to women in exchange for their support. While Tripathi denied all allegations, the matter is still being investigated.
