Bhilai youth killed by friends for chanting
Raipur: In a shocking incident from Chhattisgarh's Bhilai district, a 30-year-old man named Malkit Singh alias Veeru was allegedly murdered by his friends on Friday for raising 'Hindustan Zindabad' slogan after watching the film Gadar 2 on his mobile phone.

Malkit's friends, Tasavvur, Faizal, Shubham Lahare and Tarun Nishad, have been arrested in connection to the crime, while the fifth accused remains at large. The father of the youth who was beaten up and later died is the head of Khursipar Gurudwara.

Family members and relatives of the victim as well as members of the Sikh community living closeby were outraged at the incident. They blocked the National Highway in protest of the whole incident and demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakh and a government job for Malkit's wife.

The police revealed that Malkit had been watching the recent blockbuster Gadar 2 on his mobile phone when he raised the slogan 'Hindustan Zindabad'. His friends believed he was "teasing them", and proceeded to beat him up with such brutality that he was taken to a local hospital and then referred to Ramakrishna Care Hospital in Raipur, where he could not be saved.

The police are now on the hunt for the fifth and absconding accused. This unfortunate incident follows the news of a man being beaten with a belt after a fight broke out during a Gadar 2 screening at a theatre in Bareilly. The visuals of the incident have now surfaced on social media.
