Bhaktajana Sangha AGM Decides to Arrange Accommodation at Iggutappa Shrine

Madikeri, Oct. 9: The *Tulabhara* ritual holds great significance at the sacred Sri Padi Iggutappa Temple in the district; those performing this ritual are required to stay at the temple beforehand while observing strict purity and specific religious protocols (*Mudrike*). Consequently, the Padi Sri Iggutappa Bhaktajana Sangha (Devotees' Association) decided during its annual general meeting to take measures to provide necessary accommodation facilities for this purpose.

The meeting was held under the presidency of Association President Paradanda Subramani, with discussions covering accommodation arrangements and other developmental activities.

Decisions were also made regarding the provision of basic amenities, including the construction of a compound wall, installation of fabric roofing structures, and restroom facilities.

The proceedings began with the lighting of a lamp in the meeting hall, following the *Sankalpa* (solemn vow) for the *Mahapooja* at the temple sanctum.

Association member Macharanda Uthappa offered prayers by singing a hymn dedicated to Goddess Kaveri.

The Association President welcomed the members and invited them to offer constructive suggestions regarding the Association's administrative affairs and the overall development of both the Association and the temple.
