Virajpet, Nov. 9: With the tireless efforts of Sadhik Hansa, a resident of Virajpet and an amateur artist, the program Kala Shibir Kala Utsav Kodagu 2025 is being organized under the joint auspices of the Kannada and Culture Department and Sadhik Art Links at the Sadhik Art Kalabhoomi in Mogargalli in the town. In the camp, the public including school students will participate in the art camp and get acquainted with the taste of the paintings painted by the artists of Kodagu.

In the camp, the paintings painted by the artists of Kodagu like B.R. Satish, Rupesh Nanaiah, Prasanna Kumar, Ram Gautam, Bava Maldare, Sunad etc. will be exhibited at the art camp.

Mogargalli resident A.A. Hamsa's son, an amateur artist, Sadhik, has brought renowned artists of Kodagu under one roof to provide a platform for painting and is offering various types of art exhibitions, such as painting exhibitions, sculpture, installation art, photography production and exhibition, to art lovers.

Explaining about art at the art camp, Sadhik said that tourism in Kodagu district is growing at a rapid pace today. If a platform is provided to introduce painting to tourists coming to the district, it will encourage painting along with the sale of paintings by artists in Kodagu district. The versatile arts of Kodagu should be famous not only in the state but also across the country. If every artist in the district is given respect, there is no doubt that painting will be kept alive, he says.

Artist Bawa Maldare informed that there are various types of painters in Kodagu. If the government provides a platform to exhibit paintings made of Kunchadi A and make the public interested in art, the artists can exhibit their paintings under one roof to continuously develop art. A program called Chitrasanthe should be organized in the big cities of Karnataka state and a platform should be created for painting exhibitions, information and sales. He said that if such a system is implemented in Kodagu, it will encourage local painters.

Today, competition has increased in painting. There is a lot to learn in painting, and the real meaning comes when you exhibit what you have learned in front of others, says Kerala painter Colonel Suresh.

Teacher and artist Sulaiman shared his views, there are several thematic degrees in painting education, the choice is left to the student's discretion, the aim is to make the image of social concerns known to the entire public of the country through paintings, there are ample opportunities for students in painting education. He says that if the students of the district choose painting, it will be like showing a new chapter to art.

Sadhik, with the help of the department and donors, has been organizing a painting exhibition in Kookluru since 2017, which has received a good response from the public. International painters Jyothilal Kollam and Rajappan Achari Chenganasheri participated in the 15-day art festival and exhibited their unique paintings.

In the art festival, artists are given information about painting and many types related to art by skilled artists. Some of the rare paintings exhibited at the art festival will be purchased by the public at a fixed price.

The paintings created by various artists at the art festival will keep art lovers on edge. This time, the art festival will be held at the Sadhik Art Kala Bhoomi in Mogargalli from Nov. 11 to Dec. 31.
