Andrea Berta, the Sporting Director for Arsenal, caused quite a stir when he was spotted at the Galatasaray vs. Fenerbahce game on Sunday. As the person in charge of the team's transfers, Berta was responsible for a record-breaking spending spree during the summer, with a major focus on strengthening their attack.

This resulted in the signings of Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze, and Viktor Gyokeres for a combined total of over £200 million. However, these new recruits have only shown sporadic glimpses of their potential so far. While Eze, a promising young English player, has shown significant improvement in his performance over the past month, the other two have struggled to make a significant impact.

Madueke has only scored two goals in the Premier League this season and has been unable to adequately cover for the injured Bukayo Saka. Gyokeres, on the other hand, has scored a respectable 18 goals in all competitions since joining from Sporting Lisbon, but his record against top teams has been disappointing. This lack of goals against the "big six" led to manager Mikel Arteta choosing to start Kai Havertz instead of Gyokeres in their last two games.

In light of these struggles, Arsenal is now reportedly considering a move for Galatasaray's Victor Osimhen, according to Turkish journalist Serkan Korkmaz. The Nigerian striker has been on fire this season, scoring 20 goals in all competitions and earning a staggering €21 million per year in Turkey. While he has been linked with other Premier League clubs in the past, including Chelsea and Manchester United, Berta is now eyeing him as a potential solution for Arsenal's attacking woes.

But Osimhen is not the only player catching Berta's attention at Galatasaray. During his visit to the game, Berta also discussed the possibility of signing versatile forward Barıs Alper Yilmaz and goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir. Yilmaz, who can play as a forward or a full-back, has shown promise as a potential addition to the team.

Meanwhile, Cakir, who joined Galatasaray for a record fee of €30.5 million last summer, is wanted by other top European clubs such as Bayern Munich. These potential signings are a clear indication that Arsenal is determined to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. Despite already having an outstanding goalkeeper in David Raya, Berta is keen on bringing in Cakir to add more competition for the starting spot.

This desire for improvement is also reflected in their pursuit of Joan Garcia, who ultimately chose to join Barcelona instead. With Arsenal's sights set on these talented players from Galatasaray, it will be interesting to see how their team evolves in the coming months.
