Arjun Munda argues that Congress has not addressed the rights of tribal people.
Union Minister Arjun Munda has accused the Congress of being anti-tribal and usurping their rights. Addressing a press conference at the BJP media centre on Wednesday, he said that the Congress had ignored tribals ever since they came to power in the state. He added that the Congress' election manifesto, which had tall promises, was nothing more than a "bundle of lies".

Munda said that the tribals had rejected the Congress in the state and in the country as well. He alleged that when the Congress was in power in Madhya Pradesh, they had done nothing to provide better education and health services to the tribals. He said that the Congress had been scared of the recent rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda in the tribal belt and the launch of the party's two Parivartan Yatras from tribal pockets.

Munda further said that the Kamal Nath government had discontinued the schemes made for Bhariya and Baiga tribals. He added that the Digvijay government had banned recruitment through MPPSC for 10 years. He also said that the Congress had allocated just 746.6 crores in the Tribal Affairs department budget, while the Modi government had increased it to 10813 crores in 2022-23.

Munda said that the Modi government had made various schemes for the tribals and tried to restore their pride which had been in tatters during the Congress regime. He accused the Congress of cheating the naive tribals with false dreams. He concluded by saying that the tribals had seen through the lies and rejected the Congress.
