The eight-year-old acted quickly and jumped into the pool without hesitation when he noticed his relative was in trouble.

Brave Bernardo jumped into the pool without hesitation when he saw his young cousin was in danger, thanks to the surfing classes he had taken in Mongagua. His mother believes that the preparation he received from Surf Escola, a partnership between the NGO Esporte Vida and the Maritime Fire Department, enabled him to have a quick thought process when saving the child.
