Amy Dowden, the beloved professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, recently teased an appearance on the upcoming series of the show, despite her ongoing cancer treatment.
The 33-year-old revealed earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, and had since undergone a single mastectomy and has now started chemotherapy after doctors found more tumours.

In a recent interview with Hello!, Amy said she had been in contact with the Strictly team and they were preparing some fabulous wigs for her to wear if she were to make any appearances on the show. Despite this, she remains full of positivity, expressing her support for the cast of Strictly ahead of the launch of the new series. On Instagram, she shared a picture of her with sparkly make-up and glamorous lashes, and wrote, ‘I’ve seen all the group numbers and the process by videos, then again watching yesterday and WOW honestly the best yet!’
Amy continued to express her gratitude for her Strictly family, and wrote how proud she is to work on the show. She concluded her post with a determination to be back on the dance floor soon, writing, ‘Now I’m on way to chemo number 3! Let’s hope no hospital admissions and scares after this one. But I’m going with a spring in my step this morning after yesterday and knowing everyday I’m closer to dancing on that floor again
