Amsterdam is asking young British men to "abstain" if they plan to visit the city to partake in activities that could lead to "unrestrained behaviour".
The Dutch capital's new online campaign to address disruptive tourism was unveiled this week by the local government in a statement on Tuesday.
If British holidaymakers look online for terms such as "stag party Amsterdam", "discount hotel Amsterdam" or "pub crawl Amsterdam", a video advertisement will be displayed, cautioning them of the repercussions of drinking too much, using drugs or behaving in a socially unacceptable manner.

One video clip features a drunken young man being apprehended. Accompanying text reads: "Coming to Amsterdam for a wild night + getting inebriated = €140 fine + criminal record = fewer prospects."
"So, coming to Amsterdam for a wild night? Stay away."
Another video shows someone in an unconscious state being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
"Coming to Amsterdam to take drugs + lose control = hospital trip + permanent health damage = worried family," it says.
"So, coming to Amsterdam for drugs? Stay away."
Deputy mayor Sofyan Mbarki assured visitors that they were still welcome, so long as they did not act unruly or cause a disturbance.
"In that case we as a city will say, 'Rather not, stay away'," he stated in a media release.
Amsterdam is requesting that young British men not come to the city if they are intending to let loose and "go wild". The Dutch capital's fresh web-based initiative to address nuisance tourism launched this week and focuses on travelers between the ages of 18 and 35, the city's local government declared in a press release on Tuesday.
If British tourists look on the internet for keywords such as "stag party Amsterdam", "cheap hotel Amsterdam" or "pub crawl Amsterdam", a video ad will materialize, cautioning them of the effects of consuming too much, taking drugs or causing a disturbance through antisocial conduct.
