Allison Williams chats with The Agency about the success of M3gan and the upcoming sequel, her fear of horror movies and her Love Island addiction.

When asked what inspired her to take on the role of M3gan, Williams revealed that she received an email from her Get Out collaborator, Jason Blum, which included a script. After speaking with director Gerard Johnstone, she knew they had to make the movie.

"We had to bring her to life," Williams said. "By the time we reached the person who freaked me out so much in the movie, we were all just so proud of her and our little creation. Not so little... our mighty, mighty creation."

The success of M3gan was evident even before the movie was released, as people were already dressing up as the doll for Halloween. Williams was proud of the impact M3gan had and the character's iconic look.

"We were designing her," she said. "Gerard was saying about her costume, 'I want it to be so specific that it can be iconic, like a Halloween costume that people could easily recognize who they're dressed up as.' When I saw the finished product, I thought, 'Wow, this is so specific, what a look!'"

When asked who would win in a fight between M3gan and Chucky, Williams said that it wouldn't be a fair fight.

"M3gan is so beyond that," she said. "She has the bow and then the dress that looks like a coat, it's all so specific. She would Wikipedia Chucky, and she would look up how he's been defeated in past Chucky movies. It's just not a fair fight; she's the internet, and she has this superhuman strength."

A sequel to M3gan has been confirmed and Williams is onboard, producing the movie. She's excited to take on the project and bring more M3gan into people's lives.

Williams recently welcomed her first child with partner Alexander Dreymon, which has made her think twice about smart devices.

"It definitely does make you tune into that immediate intuitive interaction that kids can have with technology," she said. "It's built to be so instinctive and intuitive for kids to use. It makes you think twice, but I think that is one of the core purposes of the movie, is examining our relationship and reliance on technology."
