Alexandra Burke still sheds tears when watching her X Factor finale.
That moment will always be remembered in history, and it's something I will forever be proud of. It's crazy to think that it has been over a decade since I won The X Factor and my life changed overnight. I was only 19 years old and had no idea of the incredible journey that was ahead of me.

Since then, I have released three albums and had the opportunity to perform in some amazing west-end musicals like The Bodyguard and Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I even got to be a runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, which was such a fun experience.

Recently, I had the chance to talk about my latest role in Sister Act The Musical, my duet with Beyoncé, and how I take no BS in my thirties. This is actually my second time playing Deloris in Sister Act, and I can definitely say that my portrayal of her this time around is much more mature.

When I first played this role in my twenties, I approached it in a more goofy and youthful way. But now, being in my thirties, I see Deloris as a strong and confident woman who doesn't take any nonsense from anyone. It's been a great experience playing her in a more mature way.

And I think that's reflected in my personal life as well. Now that I'm in my thirties, I don't have time for any BS. This mindset was strengthened even more after my appearance on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins in 2021. That experience truly changed me as a person and made me realize the importance of taking care of my own mental health.

With two young children and a demanding schedule, I am definitely kept on my feet. But I try not to worry too much about the future and instead focus on the present. As I always say, we're not saving lives here, we're just trying to live our best lives and be happy.

Being a mum without my own mum around can be tough at times, but I am lucky to have a support system of strong and amazing women around me. And speaking of my kids, we recently rewatched my season of The X Factor together. It was such a special moment for me, and I hope it showed my children that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

And of course, I will always be remembered for my duet with Beyoncé on The X Factor. It's a moment that still gives me goosebumps when I think about it. But more importantly, it's a reminder that anything can happen and dreams do come true.
