Alex Jones certainly had an awkward moment while hosting The One Show on Monday.
The presenter was joined by Hollywood A-listers Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana to promote their new film Project: Lioness.
When the stars made their way through the entrance, Nicole went in to shake Alex’s hand, and while Zoe reached out to Alex, the presenter accidentally ignored her gesture while she hugged Nicole.
The awkwardness was palpable, but Jermaine Jenas came to the rescue as he went for a handshake with Zoe, quipping "Oops, I'll just do it again".
The stars discussed their upcoming film and moved past the uncomfortable moment.
Things got even more bizarre when Alex admitted she unknowingly smuggled a one-armed monkey out of a zoo in a bag during a family day out.
Recounting the tale on Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Alex said the monkey, aptly named Bandit, jumped into her baby's nappy bag, and despite her husband’s efforts to convince her to leave the monkey in the bag, Alex was adamant that she was not leaving the zoo with monkey DNA all over her baby.
With the help of a zookeeper and a stick of fruit, the monkey finally got out of the bag… or so they thought.
Alex recalls hearing something as they made their way back to the car, leading them to believe the monkey had stowed away in her nappy bag once more.
