Adebayor says Arsenal player lacks skill, predicts outcome of title race.

Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has shared his thoughts on current Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres, urging him to improve his technical abilities in order to become a long-term No. 9 for the club. Adebayor, who scored 62 goals in 142 games for Arsenal, believes that adding more technical ability to his game would be a great advantage for the team.

Gyokeres, who signed for Arsenal in a £64m deal from Sporting last summer, has had a mixed first season in the Premier League. While he has shown glimpses of his potential, he has only scored five Premier League goals in the first half of the season. However, he has improved his performance in the second half, scoring 14 goals in all competitions and playing a crucial role in helping Arsenal lead the Premier League title race and reach the Champions League final.

In fact, Gyokeres' recent performance in the Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid impressed not just Arsenal fans, but also football legends like Alan Shearer. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta also praised the Sweden international, calling him "immense" in the game where he dominated the Atletico defenders and played a part in Bukayo Saka's winning goal. Adebayor, who appreciates many of Gyokeres' strengths, believes that the 24-year-old is "getting better" and has the potential to become a top striker for Arsenal.

However, he suggests that adding more technical ability to his game would be beneficial for the team. Adebayor's comments came during his appearance on talkSPORT, where he said, "Listen, I think he's a good player. He's a good striker and a big lad who can control the ball quite well.

The first time I saw him play live was the north London derby against Tottenham and I kind of liked the way he played because he's strong and ready to fight. But I think playing as a striker and for a club like Arsenal, you have to add a little bit of technical ability to your game." Despite Arsenal's impressive run this season, Adebayor still believes that Manchester City will win the Premier League title. However, he admits that he would like to see Arsenal win it, as they have been working towards this for a long time.

Adebayor, who played for both clubs, also acknowledges that it will not be an easy task for either team, with Man City still in the race and Arsenal needing to win their last three games to secure the title. Arsenal face a crucial match against relegation-threatened London rivals West Ham on Sunday, while Man City takes on Brentford. It will be a nail-biting end to the Premier League season, and Adebayor is hoping to see Arsenal emerge as champions for the first time in 22 years.
