Adam Thomas is all set to join the cast of 'Strictly Come Dancing' and the former Emmerdale actor has already had an argument with his wife over it. His wife, Caroline, is a professional dance teacher, and Adam was quick to point out that he hasn't had any dance experience whatsoever.
He shared with The Sun, "She’s a dance teacher. But no, she’s not given me any tips. We literally had this argument the other day because I was like, ‘Why have you not taught me how to dance after all these years I’ve been with you?’ And she was like, ‘Well, you’ve never taught me how to act.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, very good point actually.’
Adam has confessed that he is yet to pick up any lessons from Caroline, as he is looking forward to learning the craft on the show. The actor also revealed his struggle with a chronic health condition, which has made the preparation process difficult for him.
He said, "I have had no dance experience so this is definitely a first for me but again, I am excited to learn and get out there and do my thing. I’m on really strong medication at the minute. It’s been tough, but I’m on the road to recovery. A couple of weeks ago, I couldn’t really walk, I couldn’t really do much. So to get to this point that I’m at now, I’m just so happy."
Adam is part of the star-studded cast for this year's season of 'Strictly Come Dancing'. His co-stars include Angela Rippon, Layton Williams, Nigel Harman, Ellie Leach, Amanda Abbington, Les Dennis, Eddie Kadi, Angela Scanlon, Nikita Kanda, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Annabel Croft, Jody Cundy, Zara McDermot and Bobby Brazier.
The show is all set to premiere on Saturday, September 16 on BBC One and iPlayer. Adam is more than ready to take on the challenge and while he's not sure how far he will go, he's happy to be part of the competition.
