"She made me feel so safe and confident during my screen test, and that support continued every day on set. I loved working with her."
Reflecting on her experience filming as Tina, Samantha shared some memorable moments, including a scene where she was face down in a pool of mud. "It was such a fun and memorable scene," she said with a smile. "There was also an explosion scene that was quite impressive."
When asked about her thoughts on Tina as a character, Samantha described her as feisty, selfish, and always with an agenda. "She will stop at nothing to get what she wants, and she's not someone you can trust," she explained. "It's such a joy to play someone who is so different from myself. I felt right at home on the Emmerdale set and loved every moment of playing Tina."
Her first day of filming was Zak's funeral, and Samantha felt honored to be a part of such a significant moment, not just for the show but also for the legendary actor Steve Halliwell, who plays Zak. "It was such a special day, and I felt extremely privileged to be a part of it."
And when asked about the possibility of returning to Emmerdale in the future, Samantha's answer was a resounding "Definitely!" "Emmerdale is an incredible place to work, and Tina is such a fantastic character to play. I would love the opportunity to come back and stir up more trouble."
