However, as time went by, the victim grew impatient and requested for her money to be returned. But Anusuya kept delaying and avoiding the matter.
Finally, Madhusmita decided to take action and reported the incident to Ghashipura police, which led to the arrest of Anusuya. The police are now investigating if this wasn't the first time Anusuya had committed such fraudulent activities in the past.
