While teenagers in the British school are seeking help for better sex lives, in India, public displays of affection are met with vigilante justice. Talking to parents about sex is an often impossible task, and the queer community is still greatly oppressed. Yet, there are some parts of the series that feel a bit preachy, and Eric’s character is often not given enough attention. Despite these flaws, Sex Education has created a high bar for other coming-of-age dramas, and it certainly hit the right spot for me.
