Cameron Davis is a 17-year-old high school senior from Los Angeles, California. She is an honor student at Brentwood School and has been helping those in the unhoused community since she was 9 years old. Cameron was crowned Little Miss California and made poverty alleviation her community service platform. She has volunteered with My Friends Place, created meals and hygiene kits for the Hollywood Food Coalition and Midnight Mission, and has earned the Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award.
Cameron was inspired to start Jeans For Teens, her own nonprofit, when she saw the need for jeans in the homeless community. She wanted to give teens experiencing homelessness the opportunity to feel less stigmatized at school, just like everyone else. Since starting her organization, Cameron has collected hundreds of pairs of jeans.
Now that she has her driver’s license, Cameron also donates bottled water and Gatorade to the various community fridges around Los Angeles. Community fridges are refrigerators run by small businesses or neighborhoods and stocked with snacks, drinks, and individually packaged fruits and vegetables. This helps those in the community, especially during extreme heat waves.
Cameron is determined to use her voice to fight for housing as a human right. She believes that everyone can do their part to make a difference, and help those in need find a place they can call home. To learn more about Jeans For Teens, please email
