The incident occurred at about 4pm on Wednesday near Macy's flagship store at Herald Square. The taxi had jumped the curb and hit the pedestrians on the sidewalk. Police have cordoned off the area and the driver remained at the scene. Video footage showed the damaged yellow taxi with its front bumper fallen off. Later in the evening, the taxi was towed away.
