A stage adaptation of Stranger Things is being performed in London's West End, and we're feeling excited.
The highly anticipated Stranger Things stage show is coming to London later this year, with the story written by Kate Trefry based on an original story by the Duffer Brothers and Jack Thorne. Directed by Emmy, Tony and BAFTA winner Stephen Daldry, along with Justin Martin, the show is a prequel to the events of the series set in 1959. It follows the adventures of young Jim Hopper and the other residents of Hawkins, and the synopsis promises new characters and a look into the past that will set the groundwork for the future of Stranger Things. While the cast is yet to be announced, the show will take place at the Phoenix Theatre.

Coming soon to the West End stage, Stranger Things: The First Shadow will be a prequel to the events of the Netflix series, written by Kate Trefry from an original story by Matt and Ross Duffer, Jack Thorne and Trefry and directed by Emmy, Tony and BAFTA winner Stephen Daldry with co-direction by Justin Martin. The show will be set 24 years before the series and will explore the origin story of Jim Hopper. The synopsis reads, 'Hawkins, 1959: a regular town with regular worries. Young Jim Hopper’s car won’t start, Bob Newby’s sister won’t take his radio show seriously and Joyce Maldonado just wants to graduate and get the hell out of town.' It is also said to 'hold the key to the end'. The cast has yet to be announced, but it will be staged at the Phoenix Theatre.
