A major London train station will shut down during Easter, causing major inconvenience to travelers.

Euston station is a crucial hub in the bustling city of London, connecting travelers from Scotland, the North, and the Midlands to the capital. However, during the upcoming Easter break, this key railway station is set to close for almost a week. This means that if you were planning on catching a train from Euston during this time, you'll need to prepare for a longer journey and the possibility of queuing for a replacement bus.

Known for its signature "Euston rush" as passengers dash to catch their trains, the station will be shut down for six days in April. This closure is necessary for Network Rail to carry out important engineering works. From Good Friday, April 3rd, until Wednesday, April 8th, there will be no Avanti West Coast or London Northwestern Railway trains running from Euston.

You can find a map of all the Easter disruptions by scrolling down and clicking on the link below. During the closure, all trains between Euston, Scotland, the North West of England, and West Midlands will terminate at Milton Keynes Central. National Rail has advised that there will be a rail replacement bus service for passengers traveling between Milton Keynes and Euston.

Chris Liptrot, Avanti's operations director, has encouraged customers to plan ahead and check the National Rail website for any updates before traveling during this time. The closure of Euston will affect not only National Rail services, but also some Overground line trains passing through the station. If you're planning on traveling to an airport for an Easter getaway, please note that there will be slight changes to some routes to London airports.

For example, trains to Heathrow Airport will have a late start on Sunday, and the tracks will be closed between Stratford and Tottenham Hale over Easter until 6pm each day. This means that if you're traveling to Stansted, you'll have to go through London Liverpool Street instead. In other London news, there is a warning about a major train station closure during Easter, as well as a discussion about banning kids from pubs and two men being arrested for an alleged arson attack.
