For the last 18 months, the attractive dog has seen other rescue animals come and go from the centre to their new homes.
Sadly, though, Charlie himself has yet to be adopted.
Consequently, the staff at RSPCA are calling Charlie "Britain's loneliest dog" owing to the amount of time he has spent at the centre.
Andy Cook, the branch's Behaviour and Welfare Advisor, stated: "It's safe to say that this boy is a special lad and is the team's favourite."
He continued: "He is loving life at RSPCA Brent Knoll Animal Centre and joins the team every morning for tea break.

Even though everybody at the centre adores Charlie, they would love to see him in a wonderful new home.
He is said to be a very playful and affectionate canine who deserves to find a special place in someone's heart and home.
The team can't comprehend why he hasn't been adopted yet and really hope that somebody out there will give this beautiful rescue dog the second chance he needs.
