A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a toddler in Blackpool.
Tragedy struck Blackpool over the weekend when a two-year-old boy was found injured at an address on Central Drive. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the child sadly died from his injuries on Monday, August 21.

In response, Lancashire Constabulary released a statement expressing their condolences to the boy's loved ones. A man in his 30s was arrested at the address and identified as Daniel Hardcastle, born 10/3/93, of Central Drive. He was charged with Section 18 wounding and was remanded into custody.

The investigation into the boy's death is ongoing and the police are continuing their enquiries. They will also be liaising with the Crown Prosecution Service in relation to any further charges.
