Chandan Kumar Mandal, an official from the district mobile unit, shared that the vehicles were transporting Mahua flower from Raipur to East Singhbhum in neighboring Jharkhand. However, they were caught in the act while transferring the stock at Banpar village. The enforcement team seized more than 280 quintals of Mahua flowers, along with a 16-wheeler truck and four Bolero pick-up vans during the raid.
In total, three drivers were arrested, and two vans were seized, while two other suspects were able to flee the scene. The owners of the vehicles have been taken into custody for further investigation to determine their involvement in this illegal trade. The raid was conducted with the upcoming general elections in the state in mind.
