5,000 saints to attend unveiling of statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Bhopal.
Bhopal: On September 21, a grand ceremony is being held to unveil the statue of Shankaracharya. Initially, the function was scheduled for September 18, but due to heavy rains in the region, the event was postponed. Unfortunately, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not be able to attend the ceremony as he is tied up with the Parliament session.

On Monday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held a meeting with senior officials to review the preparations for the event. To honor the traditions of Kerala, Chouhan will welcome the five thousand saints at 11 am on the day of the ceremony. Following that, a Yagna will be performed by the Chief Minister and the saints.

On this special occasion, Shaiva traditional dances from across the country will be presented. Furthermore, the traditions of worshipping Panchanan as initiated by Shankaracharya will also be presented. After that, the foundation for Advaita Lok will be laid by Chouhan and the saints.

At Siddhawarkut, 'Brahmotsav' will be held, in which a dance will be performed based on the Slokas composed by Adi Shankaracharya. Additionally, the books published by Acharya Shankar Sanskritik Ekta Nyas and Advait Yuva Jagaran Shivir will also be released.

In an unrelated incident, Bhopal BJP MP, Sadhvi Pragya, has recently defended Godse as a "true patriot". She believes that there must be a "reason" why he killed Gandhi.
