27k anaemic kids identified in Indore by Health Dept's Dastak Campaign.
Indore: The Health Department has been making great strides in its Dastak Campaign, having already covered 56% of the target and traced over 27,000 anaemic kids in the district.
Moreover, 100 kids were identified as suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition, and were subsequently referred to the relevant institutions.
The Health Department has been running a door-to-door campaign to screen children for diseases, and identify and treat them.
District Immunisation Officer Dr Tarun Gupta mentioned that the campaign began on July 18th, and teams of anganwadi workers, ASHAs, paramedical staff and others have screened over 2.42 lakh kids in different parts of the city, out of which 27,000 were found anaemic and 329 kids were identified as suffering from diarrhoea.

Dr Gupta further mentioned that over 400 teams have been conducting door-to-door campaigns across the district, and that the campaign will continue until August 31st. After that, a report will be submitted to the administration.
The teams are also spreading awareness regarding childhood abnormalities, malnutrition among children and nutrition for newborns.

It is worth noting that the BJP is facing a rebellion in the Ghattiya Assembly seat, with workers burning an effigy of Satish Malviya, the party's candidate, in Ujjain, in response to dissatisfaction with his candidature.
