A tragedy has struck the community of Poole, Dorset on Boxing Day. A 17 year old girl from the area is now fighting for her life after being involved in a serious car crash.
The collision occurred at 1am on Banks Road, involving a grey BMW and a black Mercedes in which the teenager was a passenger. The driver of the Mercedes was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
Inspector Craig Tatton of the Roads Policing Team has made an appeal for any witnesses who might have seen the accident to come forward. He also asked anyone with dashcam fitted to their vehicle to check if they have recorded anything that might be useful.
While Banks Road remains closed to enable police to investigate the circumstances of the accident, Inspector Tatton thanked the members of public for their patience and understanding.
