Young boy murders three because of money in Odisha
In a shocking and tragic incident, a 14-year-old boy from Bhadrak district in Odisha has been accused of killing his own grandmother, another woman, and her 8-year-old daughter over a dispute involving money. The incident, which has left the entire community in a state of shock, was reported to the police on Thursday.

According to the authorities, the accused boy had demanded a sum of money from his maternal grandmother, Sumati Munda. However, she had given him a lesser amount than what he had asked for. This infuriated the boy, who then turned his anger towards another woman named Sukanti Munda. Sukanti had borrowed Rs 1,000 from the accused boy and had failed to repay the amount. Her 8-year-old daughter, Mini, was present during the altercation between the two and unfortunately became a witness to her mother's murder.

The bodies of Sukanti Munda and her daughter Mini were discovered on Wednesday in an isolated area, while the decomposed body of Sumati Munda was found in the same area on Thursday. The Bhadrak Sub-divisional Police Officer, Saurav Ota, stated that a complaint was filed by Sukanti's husband, Raja, leading to the registration of a case with the Bhadrak Rural police station.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused had accompanied Sukanti and her daughter to a nearby hospital for treatment. On their way back, a heated argument broke out between the accused and Sukanti over the repayment of the borrowed money. Enraged, the boy strangled Sukanti to death and also killed her daughter, who was a witness to the murder.

The bodies of the mother and daughter were found in a farmland in Ganijang panchayat, while the body of the accused's maternal grandmother was discovered 700 meters away. The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and are currently interrogating the accused. The accused and the victims were all from the Thakurmunda area in Mayurbhanj district and had come to Bhadrak for work, staying near Raibani Chhak.

The entire community is in shock and mourning over this tragic incident. The police are working diligently to gather more information and bring justice to the victims. This horrific incident serves as a reminder to always resolve conflicts peacefully and with compassion, rather than resorting to violence.
