Workshop on 3D printing applications starts at MANIT in Bhopal to explore its potential uses.
On Monday, the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology in Bhopal began a seven-day workshop on 3D Printing Applications in Industrial and Medical Sectors. Sponsored by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Government of India, the event was organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MANIT.

The event was inaugurated by PM Pandey, the Director of Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology College, who served as the chief guest. Mr. Pandey gave an informative lecture about the different types of 3D printing, support structures, and bio-printing. He was followed by P K Jain who discussed the use of STL files and slicing.

The workshop also included a hands-on practice session on Fused Deposition Modeling process. This was coordinated by Mohammad Taufiq, RS Rana, and Rajesh Purohit. Participants were eager to learn more about the 3D printing technology and its various applications in the industrial and medical sectors.

The workshop is a great initiative towards familiarising the general public with the latest 3D printing technology. It is also an opportunity for people to gain more knowledge and insight into the various practical aspects of this technology.
