Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh - On Monday evening around 6.30 pm, a shocking video surfaced on social media in which hooligans of Dinanath Lassi Wale shop in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh were seen beating up a woman patient and her relatives. The woman had come to a nearby hospital to get treated for dengue.
The entire incident was caught on a CCTV camera and the video was shared on social media. On learning about the incident, SP City Rahul Bhati instructed the police to file an FIR against the accused employees.
The woman, Manju Gupta, stated that she had been suffering from dengue for the last 20 days and had come with her brothers to get medicine from a nearby hospital. In the evening, her brothers went to the lassi shop to ask for water so that she could take her medicines. However, the employees of the shop not only misbehaved but also started a fight.
As the crowd gathered and started making videos, the accused also tried to snatch the mobile phones of the people around. On being brought to the notice of the police, action was taken and one accused was arrested. Three others were also arrested. The incident took place at Novelty Crossing of Kotwali police station area in Bareilly.
