Moornadu, Nov. 16: Although the Lions Club has crossed its centenary and is continuing its service, the number of young people joining the club is decreasing, said Lions Regional President Dr. Pancham Thimmaiah.

Speaking as the chief guest at the meeting of the regional presidents organized under the joint auspices of the Moornadu and Virajpet Lions organizations in the Moornadu Kodava community, he said that the club is carrying out service work in many ways that are world-class, but the number of elderly people here is increasing, and the youth community is losing interest in the club.

We need to do things to attract them towards the club. For this, Leoclubs should be started in every Lions organization and work should be done to attract the youth towards the club, he said, adding that all members should show interest in this regard.

The ceremony was presided over by Moornadu Lions Club President A. S. Changappa.

Lions Club Regional Ambassador Naveen Ambekal, Zone President Bindu Ganapathy, Zone Raya Bhari Damiro Sarivo, Virajpet Lions Club President Ambi Krishnamurthy, Secretary Paul Xavier, Treasurer M. Suresh, Moornadu Lions Club Secretary Prakash Kaverappa, Treasurer M. Dinu Medappa were present on the stage.
