It's a Christmas miracle! After Wilko went into administration earlier this year, the beloved British high street retailer is making a comeback. The Range has acquired the Wilko brand for £5 million and is set to open five standalone stores before the end of the year.
The first two shops will be in Plymouth and Exeter in Devon, followed by two more in the south east and one in the north of England. In 2021, the company plans to open more locations in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The Range will also have designated Wilko bays in all 210 of its stores, selling the retailer's classic bargain branded home, garden, pet and lifestyle products. It’s clear that there’s a huge love for Wilko and we’ve seen an encouraging demand for the return of its own-brand products. That’s why we’ve taken the decision to reintroduce Wilko back to many of the high streets and communities that it used to so proudly serve.’
