We are faced with an escalation in the Middle East situation wherein an Iranian backed terror group attacked a US military facility in Jordan (a moderate Sunni Arab country allied with the US) with missiles resulting in 3 KIA and 3 dozen WIA.
President Biden and his crack team are considering how to respond and one of the considerations is a response that is more Iran centric.

Ahhh, dear reader, it was an attack on a US military facility in a friendly country, Jordan, and it resulted in dead and grievously wounded Americans.
Make no mistake, other US facilities in Syria and Iraq have been targeted before, but not Jordan.
An Iranian backed group (Islamic Resistance in Iraq) has claimed responsibility, proudly, and it used munitions produced in Iran.
Yes, our President immediately announced there would be “appropriate retaliation” with a stern letter to follow.
[Note to Old Joe: Let’s try this, Old Sod, let’s announce our umbrage at being attacked and immediately commence the retaliation. No more of this “stern letter to follow” nonsense. Just a suggestion.]
The conversation has finally begun to consider responding against the head of the snake, Iran.
Just for a second consider the effectiveness of the Trump admin response on Syria — two cruise missile attacks totaling more than a hundred cruise missiles — when they crossed HIS redline on chemical weapons. Boom!
Iran, rivalling Russia a first rate terrorist country, supports every type of terror organization in the Middle East including: Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, Islamic Resistance in Iraq, Palestine Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, a plethora of small Shiite terror groups and militias in Iraq, the dictatorship that is Syria, and their own Revolutionary Guard, the Quds.
Should I mention they sell drones to Russia? Thousands of them.
They (Iran) fund, train, arm, plan for, and lead these terror organizations against the Big Satan (the USA) and the Little Satan (Israel) whilst moving steadily toward the attainment of nuclear weapons and continuing to supply Russia with deadly drones for Ukraine.
Re-read that sentence. Iran is a bad bunch. The specter of these Mullahs with nukes is insane. And, yet, we have made zero progress on that front in the last four years. Egad, who let the dogs out here?
[The former President, Donald J Trump, had Iran on the ropes (riots in the streets amidst a collapsing economy) with the removal of the US from the faux Iran Nuke JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), a complete regime of sanctions that had them down to their last $4B in foreign exchange, and selling only 100,000 bbl of crude per day. Comes now Mr. Biden who stops enforcing the sanctions, tries to wiggle back into bed on the absurd JCPOA, funds Iran with gobs of money, and allows their production to climb to 3,500,000 bbl per day (most sold to another enemy, China) and their coffers to grow to $100,000,000,000. Elections matter.]

I harken back to the effectiveness of Ronald Reagan’s decision to strike Iranian offshore oil platforms and how effective that was in modifying Iranian behavior.
I propose the following — approach it like a Chinese restaurant menu, not all of this:
1. Let’s take out the power plants that provide electricity to nuclear fuel enhancement facilities.
2. Let’s crater every runway and the fuel points in Teheran.
3. Let’s sink the entire Iranian Navy.
4. Let’s take out all the fuel in every harbor that has Iranian Navy ships.
5. Let’s take out one offshore oil platform for every American KIA.
This is just my starter program.
It’s an election year and Job Biden and his crack staff are going to pull a rabbit out of the hat to show they are not patsies. Of course, they are also the reason this happened with their feckless Middle East strategy.
