Week's grading: KD's reminder of why Nuggets fans supported Jokic and Serbia against Team USA.
"Hey Charles Barkley, you might want to move over a bit. And you too, adidas Xwitter meanies. Nuggets fans are going to need some space in Kevin Durant's head. Some of us on The Grading The Week team have known KD since his Texas days. We'd love to say he's matured since his Big 12 days, but we always promise to tell the truth and give credit where it's due.

So, we have to thank Durant for showing us why so many Denverites were rooting against Team USA and their own country in the Olympic men's basketball semifinal against Nikola Jokic and Serbia. It's because sometimes KD can be a bit of a putz.

He woke up at 3:40 a.m. Denver time on Friday to tweet, "To all you Nuggets fans, nobody gives a [expletive] who you lames believe is the best player in the league. Players have major respect for Jok, we don't worship him like you do, but most of us are in awe of his brilliance. Trolling you cornballs for rooting against us is a part of the game. Deal with it."

Come on KD, do you really need to be so insecure? And the craziest part is that he posted this at 5 a.m. in Paris, which makes us wonder when he actually sleeps.

One of our local YouTubers, @SwipaCam, went on X to compliment Serbia and Jokic for taking Team USA to the wire in the game. And Durant's response was, "Where are you from?" And that's when things really took off.

Maybe KD was salty because Jokic outperformed him in the semi with 17 points, 11 assists, and five rebounds, while KD only had nine points and three rebounds. Or maybe he was salty that Jokic did it with a roster of players that weren't all NBA All-Stars like Team USA's roster. And let's not forget, a lot of those All-Stars are players that Nuggets fans absolutely hate.

But enough about that, let's talk about the Christmas game between the Nuggets and Suns. According to a report from The Athletic, these two teams will be facing off for the second time in three years on December 25th. And we're pretty sure the GTW team will be adding Durant to their "naughty" list by then.

Speaking of naughty, let's talk about the Rockies and their handling of German Marquez's elbow injury. We would like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but let's be real, it's the Rockies. We're just glad they're shutting him down before things get any worse. Remember that time he had a four-inning, four-walk, three-strikeout start and it was considered one of the highlights of the season? Yeah, let's just forget that ever happened.
