Vibrant South London neighbourhood with Victorian charm and easy access to central London. Tooting is a gem!

Tooting is a great place to live, offering something for everyone, from young professionals to families. From its renowned south Asian curry houses to restaurants and street-food stalls serving cuisine from around the world, it's becoming a destination for foodies. Fitness fanatics can work out or do yoga in Tooting Common while they wait for Tooting Bec Lido to reopen later this year. Plus, with a speedy commute into the City of London, it's no wonder why Tooting is so popular with renters and buyers.

Morgan Churchill moved to Tooting from Cheltenham a year ago for a job in financial sales, and he's been delighted with his decision. He pays £800pcm plus bills to rent a room in a shared two-bedroom converted flat. With the skyline of London, including The Shard, visible over the suburban streets, Morgan couldn't be happier with the convenience of being near the Northern line to get into the City, as well as exploring local pubs and the lively Tooting Market.

Although Morgan's tenancy is up soon and the rent is increasing, he's not opposed to leaving Tooting and is looking for somewhere else to rent that offers convenience to Richmond. With rents higher than last year and no luck yet, he might have to resort to sofa-surfing for a while.

Tooting Market is a bustling destination for drinks, food, and live music, where locals and visitors alike can enjoy a variety of cuisines and activities. Young professionals, families, and fitness fans appreciate the convenience of the Northern line and Thameslink trains, while the newly-restored Tooting Bec Lido provides an outdoor oasis for exercise and relaxation. Plus, with the world-famous The Shard visible over the suburban streets, this South London area is a great choice for those looking to rent.

However, he is also looking into Richmond, as he plays rugby there twice a week.
