Kudige, Apr. 5: The 7th annual Poojotsava of Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy in Bhuvanagiri village under Kudige Gram Panchayat was celebrated with devotion by the Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple Committee.

As part of the Poojotsava, Ganga Puja was performed in the Kaveri river flowing near the valley. After that, the women devotees who had arrived for the Poojotsava offered 108 Kalasas in the Kaveri river and proceeded to the temple in Bhuvanagiri village in a procession along with the palanquin of Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy.

Various Homa-Havan Puja rituals including Panchamrutha and Rudrabhiṭeek were performed for Sri Swamy in the temple premises. Then the Mahamangalarati, Prasad Viniyoga, and Annasantapane were performed.

The puja rituals were performed by priests Shri Shivakumar, Krishna Murthy Bhatt, Anantharamu and other members of the team.

Former Zilla Panchayat President K.P. Chandrakal, Kudige Kudumangalur Veera Hanuma Sena Seva Samiti President Shivakumar also participated in the puja ceremony.
