Uniqlo is currently selling Studio Ghibli-themed shirts and bags, but they are not available in Japan.
The beloved anime fashion line is making a comeback, but this time it won't be in the home country of Ghibli or Uniqlo. As many fans know, Uniqlo has always been passionate about collaborating with popular anime and video game franchises, creating unique and stylish T-shirts for their loyal customers. However, it wasn't until last summer that they embarked on their first-ever collaboration with Studio Ghibli.

To everyone's surprise, this line was only available for a limited time in Singapore and Thailand. But fear not, because Uniqlo is bringing back their Ghibli shirts and other fashion items, this time in Taiwan. And of course, the iconic Totoro is featured on many of the shirts, along with other beloved characters such as No Face and the Susuwatari/Soot Sprites from Spirited Away.

What sets this collaboration apart from their previous ones is the inclusion of long-sleeved tees and button-up shirts, in addition to the usual short-sleeve graphic T-shirts. And instead of simply using existing art from the anime movies, Studio Ghibli worked with Thai artist Kanyada Phatan to create unique illustrations of the characters for some of the shirts.

Fans of Princess Mononoke will be delighted to know that the T-shirts feature San's battle mask on the chest, with a bolder design on the back. And for those who love the ethereal Kodama spirits, there's a cool shirt featuring them as well. Other designs include those from Laputa/Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Ponyo.

But the collaboration doesn't stop at clothing. Uniqlo also offers a range of bags featuring Totoro, Catbus, and Soot Sprites, as well as Soot Sprite socks to complete your Ghibli-inspired look from head to toe. Prices for the items range from NT$130 for the socks to NT$990 for the button-up and long-sleeved shirts.

Unfortunately, just like the previous release in Singapore and Thailand, there's no word on whether these items will be available in Japan or the U.S. But for now, fans can purchase them through the Uniqlo Taiwan online shop. So don't wait too long, these items are sure to sell out quickly among Ghibli fans.
