Yvette Fielding, a well-known TV star, recently shared a chilling encounter she had with a ghost. And this was not her first time experiencing the paranormal, as she has been the host of shows like Most Haunted and Ghosthunting With... for many years. In fact, she has now decided to document her personal experiences in a new book, starting with the very first one that involved a ghost's pair of legs.
During an interview with This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, the 55-year-old revealed, "It was the first time I actually saw what I thought was a ghost. It wasn't a full ghost, just a pair of legs!" Yvette had been visiting Theatre Royal, Drury Lane with two other people when the spooky incident occurred. Although their reactions were caught on camera, the ghost itself was not.
Yvette went on to share the number one rule of paranormal hunters - "Never go to the loo alone." She even mentioned that she would leave the door open just to make sure she was not alone. "I don't care who watches me, you're not leaving me on my own!" she exclaimed.
The incident happened while Yvette and her team were filming at a terraced house in Leeds. A carving knife had gone missing, and they later found it embedded in a cushion in the dark. "We felt objects being thrown towards us - there was no breeze at all in the house - and then we heard the sounds of someone running. We used electronic voice-recording devices and heard a demonic voice telling us to get out," Yvette recalled.
As it turned out, the house was built over the ruins of a monastery and the entity that had been haunting the place was a monk, but not a friendly one. Yvette described it as one of her scariest moments while filming Most Haunted. She added, "I've had so many, but this one really stuck with me." And it's no surprise that she now makes sure to never go to the loo alone during investigations.
This Morning also shared an image of the pair of mysterious boots climbing up the staircase, and while Yvette and her team turned around and ran the other way, it was unclear whether the ghost followed them. Yvette explained that there was no footage of the ghost because they did not have cameras with them in the toilets. "It was really fascinating," she revealed, although we're not quite sure that's the word we would use.
